We are committed to allowing anonymous reporting, protecting your identity where needed, handling your information responsibly, and never selling your personal data.
What we collect
We collect information you provide directly: stories (voice notes, text, video), contact details if you choose to share them, and any details included in your report. We also automatically collect basic device information, approximate location, and platform usage data.
How we use your information
We use your information to process and organise your reports, translate and summarise content using AI, share story leads with verified journalists, improve platform functionality, and maintain safety and prevent misuse.
Anonymity & Safety
You may submit reports anonymously. We may remove identifying details from reports, and journalists will only contact you when it is safe to do so.
Anonymity cannot be guaranteed if identifying details are included in your report. We strongly advise you to leave out personal identifiers if you wish to remain anonymous.
No sale of personal data
We do not sell or trade your personal information. Ever.
Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as necessary for journalism, platform operations, or legal requirements. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, you may request access to your data, request corrections, request deletion where possible, and stop using the platform at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@newsbridgeai.com
Children's privacy
NewsBridge is not intended for children without parental or guardian consent, in line with the Nigeria Child Rights Act.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes via your registered email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of NewsBridge after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
